Frey Group, founded in 1959, with the dedication of two generations of architects, which prominently are the founder Friedrich Frey and the current Chairman Wolfgang Frey, has been successfully operating for over 60 years.Nowadays, the business scopes include green ecological buildings investment and development, sustainable urban planning, construction, and property management, among which passive ultra-low energy green building is the key sector. Thousands of projects in Germany,  Europe and worldwide have been implemented - all of which are manifestations to the Group's high reputation in the field of sustainable architecture.

At the Shanghai World Expo 2010 the Group received the“Best Practice”- Award presenting its sustainable architecture concept and the delegation was received by the former German president Mr Horst Kohler.
"We are aware that when implementing the concept of sustainable construction,in addition to the ecological need to save energy when designing the building, we must also take economic and social aspects into account."
Academic Mr. Frey has always been emphasizing the importance of the sustainable green architecture and city planning.ln his positivelyreceived book "The Five-Finger Principle" he refers to five principles that should be combined with sustainable urban development, namely: ecology,economy,society, motivation,and vision.He is a pioneer postulating the necessity of the concerns for social needs in the development of sustainable architecture.As a regular guest speaker at international conferences and forums, and being a renowned,frequently invited expert,he loves to share insights and experiences in the field of modern,sustainable urban planning during his lectures in the context of academic exchange.
Communication In recent years, the Frey Group has received numerous delegations from all over the world, many of them from China. Such as from the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the German-Chinese Eco Park in Qingdao, the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city, the China Passive Building Alliance, the CITIC Group as well as from the Tsinghua University and Tongji University. Cooperations As a cooperation partner of the Passive House Institute, the Frey Group regards it as its responsibility to promote the development of passive houses in China and to pass on the ideas of sustainability. The group is also a standard member of the German Sustainable Building Council and a strategy partner of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB). In 2012 the group became an important strategic partner of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI). the State of Baden-Wurttemberg recognized and honored Wolfgang Frey as"Creator of Tomorrow". In 2013 Wolfgang Frey was accepted into the jury of the 1.t Asia International Solar Energy Competition, the first "Solar Decathlon" in China.
2023
On October 3, 2023, Mr. Wolfgang Frey, Chairman of the Frey Group in Germany, delivered a remarkable public lecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States.
