The conference focused on integrated protection of mountains, rivers, forests, farmlands, lakes, grasslands, and deserts, as well as ecological environmental protection and green development, with particular emphasis on the three core themes of 'green production, ecological environment, and green living.'

The opening ceremony of the conference was presided over by Gao Shanwu, Director of the Qingdao Pilot Free Trade Zone. He emphasized the green mission of the Qingdao Pilot Free Trade Zone, promoting low-carbon and green economic development, and innovating in green policies and digital warehousing, making it an exemplary embodiment of Xi Jinping's ecological civilization ideology. The Sino-German Ecological Park has also received acclaim and numerous awards, becoming a benchmark for Sino-German ecological cooperation.

The release of the 'White Paper on Sustainable Development and Green Performance Indicators of the Sino-German Ecological Park' is the first international cooperation industrial park white paper in China. It summarizes the management experience of the Sino-German Ecological Park under the guidance of performance indicators over the past decade.

The second phase of the conference included thematic keynote speeches on the three topics of 'green production, ecological environment, and green living.' Wolfgang Frey, Chairman of the Frey Group in Germany, delivered a keynote speech on 'Sustainable Architectural Design Philosophy - the Five Finger Principle,' emphasizing the importance of sustainable architecture in the context of carbon neutrality. Experts from various fields also delivered insightful speeches, with the concluding remarks delivered by Academician Cui Kai of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

In the afternoon's parallel session activities, Academician Cui Kai introduced the design concept of the 'Intelligent Green Tower' project in the Sino-German Ecological Park. This project serves as a demonstration of zero-carbon buildings and has the potential to provide a model for zero-carbon building construction in China, with the participation of the Frölich Building Group from Germany.

This conference brought together exchanges and cooperation between China and Germany in the field of sustainable development, aiming to facilitate the rapid dissemination of sustainable development achievements from both sides.
