Frey Architects Group Won the Second Prize at “Zhongjian Future Building” Competition

Recently, the result of “Zhongjian Future Building” competition has been announced.

German Frey Architect Group won second prize by its design with “From Smart Building to Smart City” concept. According to the design, Zhongjian “Future Building”, as the future headquarters of China Architect Corporation, it consists of 6 million square meter office building and 1 million square meter exhibition area.

From Smart Building to Smart City

The technology system solutions that came up by German Frey Architect Group is  based on the undergoing program “Smart Green Tower”, 

which is also the 2015 Freiburg innovation demonstration project.


 The core theory is sustainable operated building acts as an proactive actor in a smart grid, adjusting dynamically to energy consumption and fluctuant energy supply.

Rong Yang, Director of Building & Housing Energy and Technology Ministry, Aixing Han, Deputy Director, Yi Jiang, Academician, and the like, attended and gave guidance, evaluations to programs.
