The Asia Passive House Conference was hosted by the IPAZEB (Institute for Passive and Zero Energy Building) and the Passive House Institute Korea. The theme of the conference is “The Evolution of Passive Houses with Local Features”, which involved profound discussion and communication on the development and application of passive house technology with concern of local features in various countries in Asia. IPAZEB Chairman Kwang Woo Kim hosted and delivered the opening speech. Seung-Yeong Song, Chairman of the Korea Institute of Sustainable Agricultural Environment and Architecture Systems, and Yu Zhengjie,  Vice Chairman of China Ultra Low Energy Passive Building Alliance, delivered speech at the opening ceremony as well. The speeches expressed warm congratulations on the successful opening of the conference.

Since its first successful launch in Qingdao, China, the Asian Passive House Conference has become the largest and most influential passive architecture academic conference in Asia. The conference attracted hundreds of domestic and foreign top experts, scholars and industry leaders from the ultra-low-energy green building industry, and discussions in depth over topics of eco-efficient building design, 

innovative energy-saving and emission reduction technologies, smart energy management and sustainable urban development was taken place as well.

Ms. Wang Jiakun, Partner of Frey Group and President of China Department, attended the conference as a special guest. Mr. Wang Sheng, Head of Engineering Technology Department of Qingdao Passive House Engineering Technology Co., Ltd., introduced the project “Smart Green Tower” (in process) in Freiburg, which invested and designed by Frey Group, and Nanchang Zhongsen International Passive Kindergarten Project (in process), which Frey Group was the design consultant. The representative projects of Frey group re-emphasize the green and eco-diversity concept and the five-finger principle that the Group has consistently advocated, and demonstrated the Group's application of innovative smart energy solutions.
