The opening ceremony was officially held at 9:00 am on the 4th. Xu Wei, dean of the China Academy of Building Research and Construction Environment and Energy Conservation Academe, and Ni Jiangbo, deputy director of the Department of Building Energy Efficiency and Technology of the Ministry of Housing and Construction, delivered an important speech respectively.

In the subsequent contract signing ceremony, Beijing Zhuzong Group Co.,Ltd. and Qingdao Depu Construction Development Co., Ltd. signed the 13th Five-Year National Key R&D Special Project “zero energy building technology system and key technology development 'ultra low energy residential building demonstration project contract on the “Frey Dejian Gongyuan” Project of the Second Phase of the Sino-German Ecopark Passive House Promotion Demonstration Community. The signing of the contract means that Frey Group has taken more important responsibilities and missions in the development of ultra-low-energy passive buildings in China.

After the signing of the contract, the main forum of the conference with four themes of “top-level vision”, “avant-garde province and city”, “industry development” and “international frontier” started. Xu Dingming, director of the National Energy Expert Advisory Committee, China Academy of Building Research, Xu Wei, dean of the China Academy of Building Research and Construction Environment and Energy Conservation Academe, and James Connelly, Vice Chairman of the International Institute of Future Architecture, and other guests analysed the status quo of China's passive architecture and looked forward to its future development.

At the same time, the conference also has 14 professional sub-forums, almost 100 experts in the industry shared the frontier information of the industry development with participants on policy trends,

scientific research standards, typical cases, development characteristics of different climate zones, micro-energy supply, high-performance doors and windows, insulation and waterproof integration, intelligent control, airtightness protection, and indoor environment. Ms. Wang Jiakun, Partner of Frye Construction Group and President of China Department, delivered her report “Similarities and Differences in Passive Ultra-Low Energy Building Cases between China and Germany” as a special guest.

In the report, Ms. Wang Jiakun first explained the energy-saving design, mainly introduced the climate difference between China and Germany and the differences in architectural characteristics caused by it, and made a concrete comparative analysis with typical architectural projects of the two countries as an example. In addition to the corresponding explanations on the development of energy conservation in China and Germany, the focus is also on the comparison and introduction of the commonalities and differences between peripheral protection products and the construction of HVAC system in China and Germany. The guests had a better understanding of the characteristics and differences of passive ultra-low energy buildings in China and Germany.

This year is the fifth anniversary of the establishment of Passive Ultra Low Energy Building Branch of China Association of Building Energy Efficiency. During the conference, the 5th Anniversary Gala Dinner was held. After five years of steady development, the National Passive Ultra-Low Energy Building Conference has become a platform for enterprises, technical experts, suppliers, and all who engaged in passive ultra-low-energy buildings to explore frontier technology, demonstrate results, and conduct exchanges and cooperation. It has become the largest and most comprehensive professional technology event in the industry. As participant of the conference, the Frey Group is willing to contribute to the promotion of passive buildings and build a green home.
