On October 13, 2017, Frey Architekten Group played host to the expert delegation from Tibetan Architecture Committee of National Architecture Institute of China in the “Green Capital” Freiburg, in Germany.

 “Sino-German Traditional Ecological Concepts and Technologies in Mountain Region Architecture Seminar” was hosted with goal of experience and knowledge exchanging.

At the meeting, Mr. Wolfgang Frey, Chairman of Frey Architekten Group introduced the ecological concepts and design ideas of Frey Architekten Group by presenting several cases of practical projects.

Mr. Mazha Suonanzhouzha, Secretary-General of the Tibetan Architecture Committee of National Architecture Institute of China, introduced traditional ecological concepts and technologies of Tibetan Architecture in Himalaya region. Besides, Mr. Mazha delivered the wish of integrating Tibetan traditional ecological culture with eco-architecture design concepts of Frey Architekten Group, applying to the Tibetan modern architecture on the world’s highest mountain Himalaya.


Mr. Yong Zhang, Deputy Director of the Tibetan Architecture Committee of National Architecture Institute of China, representing the Tibetan Architecture Committee invited Mr. Frey as well as eco-architecture experts from Frey Architekten Group to visit Tibet in China.

At the end of the seminar, the National Architecture Institute of China delivered memorial gifts to Frey Architekten Group, thanks for the distinguished contributions made by Frey Architekten Group in the development and innovation of ecological concepts & technologies in traditional architecture and modern architecture, respectively.
