In order to promote the communication and cooperation between China and Germany on energy-saving buildings and passive houses, a delegation led by the director of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, with other 6 representatives from China Building Standard Design and Research Institute and China Building Materials Science Research Institute, etc. visited Frey Group headquarter in Freiburg, Germany, and met with Mr. Wolfgang Frey, Director of the Frey Group. The group’s main business and key projects were discussed in detail.

Ms. Duan Zhilan, Head of China Desk of Frey Group introduced the delegation the origin and development of the Group and the ultra-low energy passive buildings in the company’s core business and presented the Group's key innovative and demonstrative projects. After a heated discussion during coffee break, the delegation visited the Freiburg energy-saving demonstrative zone - the Rieselfeld residential quarter and the Frey Group's independently invested project, Ms. Duan gave a comprehensive explanation of the relevant technology.

 

The whole process not only comprehensively demonstrated the design features of the passive building structure, but also presented the advanced concept of the Frey Group to promote green building and comprehensive living. The Frey Group's passive house project was highly appreciated by the guests.

 

On November 17, the delegation visited the world's largest passive housing community in Heidelberg, the “New Train City”. Ms. Duan Zhilan introduced the project “Heidelberg Town”, which was independently invested and built by Frye Group, and will be completed soon. The project not only incorporates sustainable design concepts, but also proposes a new operational model to meet the needs of different users, thus transforming the design of harmonious homes into reality.

 

During the two-day tour, Frey Group and the delegation communicated and discussed on the design of passive ultra-low-energy buildings, the green building materials technology and standards of constructing low-carbon communities. The delegation fully affirmed the achievements of the Frey Group in the field of ultra-low energy buildings and expressed the common vision and cooperation intention on eco-energy building in future.
