Wolfgang Frey as a visiting professor at Jilin University of Architecture

Following the invitation of Jilin University of Architecture, Wolfgang Frey, Chairman of Frey Construction Group, and Ms. Jiakun Wang, Partner of the Group, arrived in Changchun on June 1 for a two-day academic exchange visit. On the morning of June 3, Professor Dai Wei, President of Jilin University of Architecture, officially appointed Wolfgang Frey as a visiting professor during a ceremony held at Jilin Jianzhu University.

During his visit Mr. Frey had the chance to raise the concern for environmental protection and sustainable development of the building planning for the students of Jilin University of Architecture. Visiting the Laboratory of Materials Science and Engineering and the Provincial Building Energy and New Energy Center of the School of Municipal and Environmental Engineering after the ceremony, the teachers and students of the college discussed together with Mr. Frey the significance of Germany's increasingly mature new energy industry and building energy conservation concepts for China's relevant industry in the energy conservation and new energy development industries.

 

The same day Mr. Frey gave a vivid lecture on “Green Eco-City Construction Cases” introducing the planning and design concepts of green ecological cities in Germany to the academic audience. In his speech he also pointed out the Group's rich practical investment design and construction project cases and encouraged teachers and students to actively interact in the following Q&A session to a more in-depth experience of this special occasion.

 

Being followed by several other visits and appointments, e.g. with experts and professors of the School of Architecture and Planning this academic exchange was a complete success thanks to the strong support of Jilin University of Architecture’s leadership.
