Delegation of Shanghai Jianke Group visiting Heidelberg

On July 25, 2019, Xu Qiang, chief engineer of Shanghai Academy of Building Research (Group) Co., Ltd. and professor-level senior engineer, paid a visited to “Heidelberg Neue Bahnstadt” in Germany. The major focus of the visit was a first-hand glance on 'Heidelberg Vilage', the world’s latest passive community which is invested and built by Frey Construction Group.

Ms. Duan Zhilan, head of the China Department at Frey Group, together with Mr. Li Yunlong, the manager of the administration department, warmly welcomed the delegation from Shanghai. Hitting the highest temperature of 40 °C in Germany during that particular day, the delegation was impressed by the strong contrast between the interior and the exterior so that everyone experienced the advantages and comfort of passive buildings. Ms. Duan and Mr. Li introduced to the visitors the uniqueness of the community and the green building concept behind “Heidelberg Town” demonstrating the energy-saving solutions of the passive buildings in the area. In addition, lots of details and insights were shared wit the visitors from abroad on cost saving measures in the construction process,
versatility of the building components, and the selection of construction materials in the context of sustainable environmental protection. At the end of the day, the delegation also got the chance to visit other passive residential buildings with their unique landscape designs which have been implemented in “Heidelberg Neue Bahnstadt”.Mr. Xu Qiang and his companions highly praised the design concept of people-oriented and harmonious community living in these residential areas which implement concepts of barrier-free design and cultural exchange. Both sides agreed to a deeper exchange evaluating future cooperation possibilities to both promote and implement more cutting-edge German technologies in China to the continuous development in the field of green sustainable buildings.
