The Sino-German Eco-Pavilion and Sino-French Eco-Pavilion projects are each located in the Sino-German and Sino-French Ecological Park areas of the International Garden Expo’s Friendship City. The Sino-German Eco-Pavilion with its total surface area of 291.10m² is divided into two floors: The first-floor functions mainly include reception, wine tasting, meeting room and energy-plus-house technology display. On the second floor there are mainly catering and multi-functional rooms. The Sino-French Eco-Pavilion with its total surface area of 85.55m² consists of a ground floor area with functional areas mainly including bar counters, deck areas, individual passenger areas, outdoor areas, equipment rooms, dining rooms, etc. Further applied are outdoor decks and terraces surrounding the buildings which inter-connect with the surrounding landscape and pathways.

Both pavilions will take the characteristics of European green energy-saving buildings as the main line and adopt prefabricated building technology system, which mainly includes the use of prefabricated new material structure walls, solar PV tiles, high-efficiency energy-saving windows and doors, etc., and will finally be presented in the form of a normal energy building.

The project follows the design principle of adapting to local conditions, fully considering local environmental and climate characteristics, reasonable layouts, comfortable indoor environments, and adopting various technologies and energy-saving measures to mirror Jingzhou’s regional cultural characteristics.
