Terra Projekt is the name of the new Regional Retail Focus (RGS) that has been in planning since 2021 in the Stuttgart district of Münchingen, north of Müllerheim.

In 2021, members of the city council discussed considerations for a sustainable and coherent implementation of the RGS as a lighthouse project in a series of workshops. In June 2021, the City Council approved a first draft of sustainability guidelines according to which this shopping zone should be planned and implemented. Frey Architekten then explored land availability and founded Terra GmbH for this purpose.

The structure of this project will be vertically divided into three types of spaces. On the first three levels are the production halls, which have different accesses and heights depending on the entrance; between levels 3/4 and 5/6 are the stores, green areas, social and recreational areas and offices; and on the last 10 levels are apartments and other offices; and on the last 10 levels are apartments and other offices.

The 'stacked' structure allows us to save valuable soil in our region by combining several uses in one place in a sustainable way.
